wom.an.ed. was born in 2012 with the intention of developing and promoting an anthropological and intercultural approach within educational institutions, social services, professional training agencies, healthcare companies, and third-sector organizations. This goal is expressed on two levels: on one hand, the research, the training and the dissemination in academic and public spheres in an educational, intercultural and community development perspective; on the other hand, the educational and social commitment through projects, interventions, and initiatives in the territory, the management of social and cultural services, the construction of activities of cultural mediation aimed at promoting democratic and participatory processes and to value the heterogeneity of contexts.
wom.an.ed. is composed of researchers, teachers and educators with professional experiences in training and teaching developed through heterogeneous professional paths and practical-theoretical skills, and who share a common experience of research matured in the field of anthropology, ethnography of education, and intercultural and interdisciplinary pedagogy.
